Rev. Aaron Miller, MCC Spiritual Community Pastor

In February 2013, the Rev. Aaron Miller was installed as the settled/permanent Pastor of MCC Hartford after serving 15 months as its Interim Pastor. 

 Rev. Aaron earned a Master of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School and is ordained by the Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC).  He has been appointed by the denomination’s senior leadership to the MCC Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council “Trans/Gender Nonconforming People.”

Rev. Aaron is also a chaplain at Yale New Haven Hospital, serves on the Board of Directors for the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice CT, is a member of the Connecticut Clergy for Full Equality (an interfaith collaboration of progressive faith leaders throughout the state), and offers diversity workshops and training regarding gender identity/expression in settings such as churches, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and universities/colleges. 

Rev. Aaron is a political activist who is dedicated to working for the advancement of LGBTQI justice and equality.  As a transgender clergy person, he is passionately committed to human and civil rights and creating safe and welcoming spaces in our faith communities 
​for all people.

Rev. Catherine Dearlove, Content management and advisor
Reverend Catherine Dearlove was the Founding and Senior Pastor at River of Life Metropolitan Community Church, Dorchester, UK, from 2008 - 2014. She also served as the Interim Pastor for MCC Brighton, England from 2010 - 2012. She is currently the provisional pastor of Trinity MCC Gainesville.

As a strong believer in service beyond her local church, Catherine has served Metropolitan Community Churches globally as a member of the Governing Board Nominating Committee (2011-2013) and in Europe as Network Liaison for Europe and as European Coordinator for the Office of Formation and Leadership Development. In addition to her pastorates, Catherine has a passion for ecumenical work and served as the chair of Churches Together in Dorchester. 

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Theology (Biblical and Philosophical Majors) from Brisbane College of Theology, and a Certification II, III and IV in Business. She also has her Masters in Christian Spirituality from Sarum College.

In her leisure time, Catherine loves reading, music, sport, and long walks with her partner
​and her dogs.

Rev. Wanda Floyd, Emerging Church and MCC Communities Co-Ordinator

Rev. Wanda Floyd is an ordained clergy person with MCC. She began her journey with MCC at St. John’s MCC in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1987, and served as a member of the former Gulf Lower Atlantic District Committee as lay and then clergy representative. After ten years at St. John’s MCC, she founded Imani MCC in Durham, North Carolina. Most recently, Rev. Floyd was a transitional pastor for MCC Charlotte, North Carolina, after having served as transitional pastor for MCC Las Vegas, Nevada. Rev. Floyd is also a gay activist. She served as co-chair for the North Carolina Coalition for Marriage Equality, was a board member of PFLG and other LGBTQA organizations. Rev. Floyd has also represented the LGBT community in media. She has been able to share her story in multiple books and newspapers, to help educate others on LGBTQA issues and spirituality.
